It is Imbolc, which means we’re half-way between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. The time is fitting to celebrate everything that is half-done as good enough so that we may continue to create from a place of wholeness and awakening.

What do I mean by that?

Well, this week I took a solo retreat to a place called “The Mermaid Temple of the Womb”. That’s right – it was a mystical saltwater pool up in the mountains run by an amazing shaman woman who also gave me a great tarot reading. And, of course, many of the dirt road names leading there have Aspen in their name.

During my retreat, I was reminded that creating is a dance between doing and awakening. Often times things such as projects and relationships begin with a so much excitement and then, when they get hard, we tend to abandon or destroy them because staying asleep seems more comfortable.

In reality, if we allow our initial inspiration to amplify through the challenges, the fulfillment that the journey brings is sooo worth it.

To stay awake, I’ve been practicing doing one thing I am over-the-top enthusiastic about and one thing I am resistant to each day. I have also been opening up to all sorts of support which is showing up in unexpected ways. The combo of all three is indeed satisfying and miracle producing.

SO my invite to you is to consider:
  • Is continuing to awaken something you desire in life?
  • If so, what sort of support is available to you?
  • How might you embrace your life with enthusiasm to plow through the resistance?

It is in the dance of creation that we accept our wholeness on the journey of life.

Check out the many forms of spiritually-centered support available for you in the Aspen Oracle Directory! Feel free to follow my “Mermaid Temple of the Womb” lead and go for what perhaps feels silly yet delightful!

We’d love to hear from you in the comments below!

Name something you want to do but are resisting.

What is an unexpected form of support available to you?
